Pulse Duration

Designed for comfort and precision.

Aerolase pulses pass through the skin 30–50x faster than conventional lasers. Energy reaches the target before heat can spread, which is why treatments are virtually painless and safe across all skin types.

Neo Elite

The 36-indication clinical workhorse.

A 1064nm Nd:YAG laser built around a patented 650-microsecond pulse. That speed lets high energy reach the dermis without overheating the surface — the reason it can treat acne, pigment, redness, tightening, and hair on every Fitzpatrick skin type, on the same device, in the same visit.

Era

Precision resurfacing, controlled depth.

Aerolase® Era pairs a 300-microsecond pulse with controlled-depth ablation to address surface texture, sun damage, scarring, and fine lines. Designed as the resurfacing complement to the Neo Elite — same speed-first philosophy, different job.

How It Works

Two technologies. Two different layers.

Neo Elite works beneath the skin’s surface. Era precisely refines the surface. Your provider selects one technology—or combines both—based on the concern, treatment depth, and recovery you are comfortable with.

01 · Dermal-facing

Neo Elite

650 µs

Inside-out treatment.

Neo Elite delivers 1064nm energy quickly into the dermis, reaching deeper targets while leaving the epidermis intact. It is the non-ablative option for pigment, vascular concerns, inflammation, follicles, and collagen support.

1064nm Nd:YAG Non-ablative No downtime All skin types
01

Acne & active breakouts

Targets sebaceous activity, inflammation, vascularity, and acne-causing bacteria beneath the surface.

02

Melasma & pigmentation

Addresses melanin and associated hypervascularity with fast energy delivery that helps limit excess heat spread.

03

Rosacea, redness & vessels

Targets hemoglobin to reduce visible redness, suppress inflammation, and coagulate unwanted vascular lesions.

04

Rejuvenation & tightening

Stimulates collagen in the dermis to support firmer-looking skin and gradual improvement in fine lines.

05

Hair removal & ingrown hairs

Targets melanin in the follicle to reduce regrowth while helping calm inflammation associated with PFB.

06

Scars & stretch marks

Supports collagen remodeling while addressing visible red or brown coloration within the treated area.

02 · Epidermal-facing

Era

300 µs

Outside-in resurfacing.

Era uses 2940nm energy to remove controlled layers of damaged epidermal tissue. It is the ablative option for visible texture, lines, scars, sun damage, and customizable resurfacing depth.

2940nm Er:YAG Ablative Minimal downtime Controlled depth
01

Tone & texture

Precisely resurfaces the epidermis to improve roughness, uneven texture, and visible surface irregularities.

02

Fine lines & wrinkles

Targets crows feet, frown lines, forehead lines, and smoker’s lines through controlled surface ablation.

03

Acne scars

Refines uneven surface texture and can be adjusted according to scar depth and the intended treatment intensity.

04

Sun damage & age spots

Removes controlled layers of visibly damaged surface tissue to improve spots, roughness, and uneven tone.

05

Trauma & surgical scars

Provides precise resurfacing for scar revision while limiting unnecessary thermal damage to nearby tissue.

06

Custom full-face resurfacing

Allows gentle, superficial, medium, or deeper ablation based on the desired correction and recovery plan.

Skin R&R — Why Aerolase Heading Adjusted
Why Aerolase®

More than one laser.
A better decision.

Aerolase gives providers two distinct technologies, so treatment can be selected by depth, concern, and recovery preference instead of relying on a single approach for every patient.

01 · The Aerolase difference

One platform. Two purposeful technologies.

Neo Elite and Era are designed to do different jobs. Neo Elite works beneath the surface for deeper dermal targets. Era works at the surface for controlled resurfacing. Together, they give the provider more precision and the patient a more personalized path.

Era Outside-in refinement
02 · Neo Elite 650 µs

Comfort without compromising depth.

Neo Elite delivers energy quickly into the dermis while keeping the epidermis intact.

01
Virtually painless

Fast pulse delivery helps limit excess heat spread.

02
No downtime

The surface is not removed, so normal activity can usually resume immediately.

03
All skin types

Designed for safe use across Fitzpatrick skin types I through VI.

03 · Era 300 µs

Surface correction with greater control.

Era removes precise layers of damaged epidermal tissue for texture, lines, scars, and sun damage.

01
Controlled ablation

Targets the treatment depth instead of relying on broad thermal damage.

02
Adjustable intensity

Gentle through deeper resurfacing options can be selected.

03
Minimal downtime

Recovery is tailored to the chosen resurfacing depth.

04 · Shared advantages

Different devices. One tailored plan.

Both technologies support a more individualized treatment strategy, from quick standalone sessions to carefully planned combination therapy.

01 · Efficiency

Quick sessions

Many appointments can be completed in about 20 to 30 minutes.

02 · Flexibility

Combination-ready

May be paired with selected aesthetic treatments in the same plan.

03 · Inclusivity

All skin types

Designed for safe, effective use across diverse skin tones.

04 · Personalization

Depth by concern

The device is selected based on the skin layer involved.

Common Questions

Common questions about Aerolase®.

Expand each question for details. For anything specific, your provider will go through it at your consultation.

What can the Aerolase® laser treat?

Acne and acne scars, melasma, hyperpigmentation, rosacea, spider veins, skin rejuvenation and tightening, ingrown hairs (PFB), laser hair reduction, stretch marks, psoriasis, warts, nail fungus, wound care, and more — over 36 indications in total.

Is it safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. The Aerolase® Neo is safe and effective for all Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. The ultra-short pulse avoids overheating epidermal melanin, which is what causes pain and pigmentary issues in older laser technologies.

Does it hurt?

Most clients feel mild warmth. No numbing cream is required. The 650-microsecond pulse is 30–50x faster than conventional lasers, which is what makes it virtually painless.

How should I prep?

Shave the treatment area the day before. Don't wax or pluck for 4 weeks prior. Avoid sun exposure and self-tanner for 2 weeks before your session.

How many sessions do I need?

It depends on the condition. Skin rejuvenation typically needs 3–6 sessions. Acne protocols run 4–8 sessions. Melasma may require an ongoing series. Your provider will build a personalized plan at your consultation.

What areas can you treat?

Face, underarms, arms, legs, bikini, Brazilian, chest, abs, back, and custom areas. Everywhere except the eye area.

Can I combine laser with other treatments in the same visit?

Yes. One of the Aerolase® Neo's advantages is that combination therapy is available in the same session — for example, a laser facial paired with a peel or acne protocol.

What's the downtime?

None. Mild redness for a few hours is the only expected side effect. You can return to normal activities immediately.
