Plaques, gently addressed.

Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition — and one many clients have managed for years. The Aerolase Neo's contactless approach may help support the appearance of psoriatic plaques in coordination with your dermatology care.

— Our Approach

A supportive approach.

Psoriasis care is layered and individual. We work alongside, not in place of, your dermatologist's plan.

— The Technology

650 microseconds of precision.

The Aerolase Neo's 650-microsecond pulse delivers controlled energy with minimal surrounding tissue effect — appropriate for psoriasis-prone skin that often responds poorly to harsh interventions.

It's contactless. No cooling gel, no anesthetic, no surface contact — three details that matter for skin already dealing with chronic inflammation.

— What It May Help

What it may support.

  • May support the appearance of psoriatic plaques
  • Suitable for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types
  • Designed to complement — not replace — dermatology care
  • Lower thermal trauma profile than many alternative approaches
  • Use for psoriasis may extend beyond cleared indications
  • Treatment plans tailored to severity and current management

— What to Expect

A clear path.

Psoriasis is chronic and individual. Treatment scope and frequency are tailored to your specific situation.

01

— Consultation

Free assessment.

Your esthetician reviews your skin, history, medications, and goals. You'll leave with a treatment plan, an honest timeline, and clear pricing — no pressure.

02

— Treatment

In-office sessions.

Each Aerolase session typically runs 20–30 minutes. The treatment is contactless and most clients return to their day right after, with little to no downtime.

03

— Series

Series varies.

Treatment frequency depends on severity, location, and your overall management plan. Your consultation will lay out an honest schedule tailored to your skin.

04

— Maintenance

Stay protected.

Coordination with your dermatologist and consistent home care are essential. Maintenance is typically about managing the condition, not curing it.

— Common Questions

Good questions. Simple answers.

If you don't see your question here, our team is happy to answer it during your free consultation.

Is the treatment safe for darker skin tones?
The Aerolase Neo is FDA-cleared for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI), including melanin-rich skin. Its short 650-microsecond pulse is designed to minimize the heat-related side effects that can be a concern with some traditional treatments. Any treatment risks specific to your skin will be reviewed during your complimentary consultation.
Is this a cure for psoriasis?
No. Psoriasis is a chronic autoimmune condition without a known cure. Our role is to support — not replace — your dermatology care, with realistic expectations set at consultation.
Should I keep seeing my dermatologist?
Absolutely. We work alongside your dermatology care, not in place of it. Coordination of timing and approach is part of our process.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a series of brief, warm pulses. The treatment is contactless and doesn't typically require numbing, though sensitivity varies. If you have particularly sensitive skin, let your provider know during the consultation and they'll adjust the protocol.
Can flares interrupt treatment?
Sometimes. Active flares may shift timing or scope of sessions. Your provider will work with you to plan around changes in your skin.
Is this covered by insurance?
No. Aesthetic treatments at Skin R&R are paid out of pocket. Some medical psoriasis treatments may be covered under your dermatology care — your dermatologist's office can advise.

Important information. Individual results vary.

Photographs shown are of actual patients who have provided written authorization for the use of their images. Results depicted are individual outcomes and are not a guarantee or prediction of any particular result for any other person. Clinical outcomes depend on a number of factors including skin condition, treatment adherence, individual response, and ongoing care. No treatment is risk-free; the potential benefits, side effects, and any treatment-specific risks will be reviewed with you in detail during your complimentary consultation.

Skin R&R treatments are performed by licensed providers operating under appropriate medical supervision. Provider credentials are available on request and at each location. The Aerolase Neo® is an FDA-cleared 650-microsecond 1064 nm Nd:YAG laser. Cleared indications include the treatment of acne and benign pigmented and vascular lesions on Fitzpatrick skin types I–VI. Use for the condition discussed on this page may extend beyond cleared indications; specifics — including realistic expectations, potential benefits, and any known limitations — will be reviewed in detail during your complimentary consultation. Some patients pictured may have received complimentary or reduced-cost treatment in exchange for the use of their photographs.
