Pigment, isolated. Cleanly addressed.

Discrete pigmented spots — from sun, age, or other benign causes — often respond well to focused laser treatment. The Aerolase Neo's short, contactless pulse targets the spot while leaving the surrounding skin largely untouched.

— Our Approach

Defined spots, gently lifted.

Well-defined pigmented spots often clear faster than diffuse discoloration — the energy is concentrated where it's needed.

— The Technology

650 microseconds of precision.

The Aerolase Neo's 650-microsecond pulse is shorter than the skin's thermal relaxation time. The spot absorbs the energy; surrounding skin stays cool.

It's contactless. No cooling gel, no anesthetic — and for individual spots, sessions are often brief.

— Common Questions

Good questions. Simple answers.

If you don't see your question here, our team is happy to answer it during your free consultation.

Is the treatment safe for darker skin tones?
The Aerolase Neo is FDA-cleared for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI), including melanin-rich skin. Its short 650-microsecond pulse is designed to minimize the heat-related side effects that can be a concern with some traditional treatments. Any treatment risks specific to your skin will be reviewed during your complimentary consultation.
What's the difference between this and treating melasma?
Discrete pigmented spots are typically well-defined and isolated, often responding in fewer sessions. Melasma is more diffuse, multifactorial, and usually requires a longer treatment series. Your consultation will help identify what's most appropriate for your skin.
Will the spots come back after treatment?
The treated spots typically don't return, though new spots can develop with continued sun exposure. Daily SPF is the most effective way to maintain results.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a series of brief, warm pulses. The treatment is contactless and doesn't typically require numbing, though sensitivity varies. If you have particularly sensitive skin, let your provider know during the consultation and they'll adjust the protocol.
Can the laser tell the difference between a benign spot and something concerning?
The Aerolase Neo treats benign pigmented lesions. We do not treat anything that hasn't been confirmed benign. If you have a spot you're uncertain about, we encourage a dermatologist evaluation first.
Is there any downtime?
Most clients return to their day right after a session. You may see brief redness or warmth in the treated area for a few hours. Specific aftercare instructions will be provided based on your treatment.
