Stubborn nails, gently addressed.

Toenail fungus is famously persistent. The Aerolase Neo's contactless laser approach is one option among several — sometimes pursued when topicals haven't been effective or oral antifungals aren't desired.

— Our Approach

A laser alternative.

Nail fungus is stubborn. Treatment patience is required regardless of approach. Honest expectations are set during your consultation.

— The Technology

650 microseconds of energy.

The Aerolase Neo delivers focused laser energy to the nail bed in short 650-microsecond pulses. The contactless approach is appropriate for the dense, layered structure of an affected nail.

There's no cooling gel, no anesthetic, no surface contact. Sessions are typically brief.

— What It May Help

What it may support.

  • May support clearing of nail fungus over a treatment series
  • Alternative for clients who haven't responded to topicals or want to avoid orals
  • Suitable for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types
  • Contactless and quick — sessions are typically brief
  • Use for onychomycosis may extend beyond cleared indications
  • Honest expectations set at consultation

— What to Expect

A clear path.

Nail fungus treatment is slow by nature — the affected nail has to grow out completely for clear evidence of clearance.

01

— Consultation

Free assessment.

Your esthetician reviews your skin, history, medications, and goals. You'll leave with a treatment plan, an honest timeline, and clear pricing — no pressure.

02

— Treatment

In-office sessions.

Each Aerolase session typically runs 20–30 minutes. The treatment is contactless and most clients return to their day right after, with little to no downtime.

03

— Series

Four to eight visits.

Sessions are typically spaced 4–8 weeks apart, timed with nail growth. Most evidence of clearance becomes visible over many months as the affected nail grows out.

04

— Maintenance

Stay protected.

Hygiene practices, footwear disinfection, and patience are all essential. Reinfection is common without ongoing care.

— Common Questions

Good questions. Simple answers.

If you don't see your question here, our team is happy to answer it during your free consultation.

Is the treatment safe for darker skin tones?
The Aerolase Neo is FDA-cleared for use on all Fitzpatrick skin types (I–VI), including melanin-rich skin. Its short 650-microsecond pulse is designed to minimize the heat-related side effects that can be a concern with some traditional treatments. Any treatment risks specific to your skin will be reviewed during your complimentary consultation.
How quickly will I see results?
Visible improvement requires the affected nail to grow out — typically many months. Patience is essential. Your consultation will set realistic timeline expectations.
Is laser more effective than oral medication?
Different approaches have different evidence bases, side effect profiles, and considerations. Laser is one option among several. Your consultation will discuss what's most appropriate for your situation.
Does the treatment hurt?
Most clients describe the sensation as a series of brief, warm pulses. The treatment is contactless and doesn't typically require numbing, though sensitivity varies. If you have particularly sensitive skin, let your provider know during the consultation and they'll adjust the protocol.
Can the fungus come back?
Yes. Reinfection is common — ongoing hygiene practices help prevent it. Footwear disinfection and avoiding shared damp environments matter.
Is this covered by insurance?
No. Cosmetic laser treatment of nail fungus is paid out of pocket. Some medical antifungal treatments may be covered under your medical care.
